NEW YORK, Feb. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — VProud, a recently launched video-based conversation platform, built by women for women, today announced that it quit Twitter last week. VProud, which has already attracted over 1 million unique users in its first 4 months of beta, features original and curated video content made by women, and social features allowing women to communicate with each other publicly, privately or both, with a proprietary interface that protects users from Internet trolls.

Online attacks against women have increased in recent months and VProud staffers are not immune to these attacks. In light of this, VProud made the decision last week to delete its Twitter account.
