Emulex says that it provides ‘connectivity, monitoring and management solutions for high-performance networks, delivering provisioning, end-to-end application visibility, optimisation and acceleration for the next generation of software-defined, telco and Web-scale data centres.’
The company’s I/O connectivity portfolio has been designed into server and storage solutions from leading OEMs and ODMs worldwide, which is something that doesn’t happen by accident.
Emulex says this ‘enables organisations to manage bandwidth, latency, security and virtualisation’, and ‘monitor and improve application and network performance management.’
iTWire was invited to talk to Emulex and its Senior VP of Marketing, Shaun Walsh, about its operations, what the company does and its local customers in Australia, with the video embedded below.

Williams brings 30 years of global IT expertise in the design, development, marketing and implementation of enterprise software products at companies including BMC, IBM Tivoli, and CA, and was also an industry analyst at Gartner.
