An extension of its Global Partner Program, the company says Acronis Partner Program for Cloud is ‘uniquely designed to accelerate cloud data protection services revenue with a subscription model for service providers, distributors, and cloud resellers.’
Acronis says the extended partner program delivers marketing, sales enablement, solutions, resources, incentives, training and certification programs to quickly and easily bring cloud data protection services to market, so its partners ‘profit from the huge market growth predicted for cloud data protection services, which include backup, disaster recovery and file sync and share.’
Quoting IDC’s Worldwide Data Protection and Recovery Software Forecast, 2015–2019, from Sept 2015, the data protection and disaster recovery software market will grow to US$8.1 billion by 2019 – so there’s clearly a major opportunity at play.
The company says its Partner Program for Cloud ‘supports any deployment model, including service provider-hosted, Acronis-hosted and hybrid, and any business model with licensing flexibility,’ including ‘turnkey cloud data protection services with minimal integration that are quick to deploy and easy to use, as well as offerings that are more deeply integrated into partner technology and services portfolios.’
It also uses ‘multiple tiers to distinguish and reward a partner’s sales performance, certification commitment, and marketing collaboration. Incentives include stackable profit margins, incremental margins for deal registration, rebates, and incremental accelerators,’ whole featuring ‘simplified partner on-boarding, free web-based sales tools and enablement programs, technical training, marketing programs, and demand generation support, as well as co-op and market development fund programs.’

For service providers and cloud resellers, Acronis says it ‘delivers a complete multi-tenant, multi-tiered cloud architecture across infrastructure and data centres, operations, and storage,’ with its Cloud solutions providing ‘automation of services and complete control of provisioning, billing, monitoring, and management, enabling partners with highly-scalable solutions that can support millions of end users.’
Promising support for the industry’s ‘broadest range of storage options, including multiple destinations, seeding, migration, and any mix of single customer sources, including on-premises, and the broadest range of workloads and data sources, including XEN, KVM, Linux, Virtuozzo, Docker, Open-Xchange, and MySQL, as well as Windows, Mac, Hyper-V, VMware, RHEV, Oracle VM, Microsoft Exchange, and SQL,’ and Acronis clearly positions itself as a one-stop data storage and protection shop for customers and partners alike.
All Acronis solutions are powered by the its ‘Acronis AnyData Engine,’ which is ‘a set of unique, deep, and powerful data protection technologies that capture, store, recover, control, and access any data from any location.’
