BOONVILLE — Yadkin County Chamber of Commerce Director Bobby Todd presented Starmount High School marketing teacher Melanie Matthews and Principal Cody Hemric with a $500 check in recognition of the work done by students to create a video for the chamber.
Advanced Marketing students Evan Stinson and Henry Stone created a Jobs Campaign video that is now on the Yadkin Chamber of Commerce website.
The students videoed at area companies including Unifi, Austin Company, Lydall and PVH. After collecting all the video clips they edited and uploaded the video for the chamber.
Matthews said, “On behalf of the Starmount Marketing Department, we appreciate this contribution. Funds will be used to purchase additional media equipment to add to our production studio. It is the goal of this department to add more equipment each year. This will enable our students to continue to service our community businesses and provide students the real-world learning in marketing.”
