Sask. woman charged after allegedly filming online video of beating

An online video showing a brutal attack inside a North Battleford home has led to charges for two local women believed to be involved.

Battleford RCMP were able to find the suspect after a video of a woman assaulting another woman made the rounds on social media over the weekend.

In the video, a woman is punched, kneed and kicked in the head and face; RCMP said the attack appears unprovoked.

Police found and interviewed the victim, who suffered minor injuries.

The beating took place early Saturday morning at a home in North Battleford.

A 24-year-old woman who allegedly filmed the attack has been arrested, and is set to face assault charges.

She has been released from custody and will appear at North Battleofrd Provincial Court Monday, June 27.

The second woman, identified as 19-year-old Danielle Wuttunee of North Battleford, has been charged with assault and a warrant for her arrest has been attained; she remains at large.

The RCMP investigation is ongoing.
