Imago ScanSource, Europe’s largest video solutions company, has announced that it is appointing Maryam Arbabi as the new Head of Products and Marketing UK and Nick Waldeck as Head of Southern UK Sales.

Maryam first joined Imago ScanSource over seven years ago as an Internal Account Manager on the sales team. She then fulfilled a number of increasingly responsible roles before becoming Sales Manager for the South West, managing Imago ScanSource’s growing sales team in the territory. Part of her remit was to implement marketing and sales promotion programmes for vendors and to run business growth campaigns in association with the company’s channel of resellers.

Much of this experience will be transferred into her new role, where her broad knowledge of the entire Imago ScanSource portfolio of video communications solutions will be invaluable. One of the first projects that Maryam will be involved in is the organisation and hosting of the company’s annual Business Breakthrough event, which brings together industry leaders to explore how conferencing and collaboration solutions are changing the future of the enterprise workplace.

Nick Waldeck came to Imago ScanSource in 2005 working in the marketing department, and has since held a number of roles, including Product Management with responsibility for developing several key manufacturers. Nick later moved into a sales role becoming Top Sales Person of The Year. He then fulfilled a number of increasingly responsible roles before becoming Sales Manager for the South East regional sales team.

Where Maryam and Nick previously shared responsibility for South Eastern and South Western UK sales, this will now be managed solely by Nick.

James Vickerage, Vice President for UK and Ireland at Imago ScanSource, said: « Maryam and Nick are two of the company’s rising stars and their consistent levels of excellent performance meant it was an easy decision to promote them. I have no doubt that both will be extremely successful in their new roles and that they will relish the increased responsibility. Our strategy is to develop our best talent and to promote from within wherever possible, so I’m delighted that we are in a position to make this exciting announcement. »
