91% of Businesses Will Maintain or Increase Video Marketing Spend in 2016

April 4, 2016: 2016 statistics show that more companies are utilizing video for marketing purposes, and they intend to increase their investment in the coming months.

“The State of Video Marketing 2016” report published by Wyzowl has found that 61 percent of responding businesses currently use video for marketing purposes. Additionally, 91 percent claim that they will increase or maintain their spending on it in 2016.

About 88 percent of respondents said that video is an important part of their company’s marketing strategy. Seventy-six percent say that video provides positive ROI, and 93 percent believe that it has helped customers better understand their products and services.

“Video remains a potent learning tool and is incredibly popular among consumers. The increasing ubiquity of video content has clearly played a key part in changing consumer expectations and an overwhelming majority are now consuming video content as part of the buyer journey.”

Approximately 98 percent of users say that they’ve watched an explainer video to learn more about a specific product or service.

Strategizing for Video Marketing Success

A report released by Regalix at the end of 2015 found that marketers were already positioning their companies to use more video in 2016. Research showed that 84 percent of B2B marketers expected their video marketing budgets to increase within the next 12 months. About 83 percent believed that videos were effective in meeting content marketing goals.

Through video marketing, 91 percent stated that they would like to increase brand awareness. About 69 percent said they wanted to accelerate lead generation, while 66 percent claimed that they wanted to position themselves as thought leaders.
